Seed Phrase Explained

A seed phrase — also called a recovery phrase, backup phrase, or mnemonic phrase — is a list of 12 to 24 randomly generated words that serves as the master backup for your self custody wallet. When you first set up a non-custodial wallet, it generates a unique seed phrase. This phrase can be used to fully restore your wallet and access all your funds on any compatible device, at any time.

The seed phrase is directly linked to your private key. Anyone who obtains your seed phrase gains complete control over all wallets derived from it.
